outfit of the day 10/30

Please excuse my repeat shoes. ;) I just love them so much I couldn't help but wear them again! Oh and also excuse my face, I've been doing this whole no makeup thing! It's really great actually, more girls should try going natural. It feels amazing, and it's less stressful trying to get ready in the morning. Anyway, my shoes are the same from Sunday, Kensie Girl. My dress is Cooperative from Urban Outfitters, and my bleached jean jacket is from Forever 21. :) I'm actually thinking about adding some studs or spikes to the back of the shoulders on this jacket. Opinions? Have a wonderful evening <3

pretty in pink

Can we all take a moment to appreciate Emma Stone's gorgeous Valentino dress? Absolutely stunning. If you watched E! Fashion Police, you no doubt saw Emma win best dressed hands down. There is so much to love about this look from the Elle Women event in Los Angeles. First of all, it's pink! And bright, too. Not many people can pull that off, so nicely done Emma! The collars are such a vintage inspired touch, but totally in right now. The sheer sleeves are great with this dress, because it could've been way too covered up! Also, the houndstooth print shoes are perfect! I never would have thought to do that myself, but Emma makes this print adorable. Favorite look from this event, by far.

carrie underwood: blown away

My friends and I went to the Carrie Underwood and Hunter Hayes concert last thursday. The concert began with a warm up by Hunter, who is incredibly talented and adorable. Carrie came on stage after, obviously. That's a given, but what else happened unexpectedly? I'd say a guest appearance from American Idol judge Randy Jackson fits that unexpected category! Randy was at the concert to watch a girl come ON STAGE and audition for Idol. Incredible. Anyway, I'd say Carrie's album name, Blown Away, was very fitting. I was blown away by her sheer talent, but also by her incredible outfits. Here's my favorites!

outfit of the day 10/28

relaxed sunday looks are my second favorite part of the week. it comes right after sunday morning starbucks runs :) i'm wearing a grey knit slouchy hat from target, a blue and green plaid shirt from jcrew, pink corduroy pants from target, and tan hiking type boots with red laces by kensie girl. i like how the plaid shirt and hiking boots are kind of woodsy, but the girly pink adds a feminine edge, and the hat makes the look effortless! another plus: it was super comfy! hope everyone's weekend was fun filled. <3

Latest Shoe Obsession: Studded Loafers

the perfect mix of prep and punk! i've been a big fan of loafers for a while, and this updated style of them makes me so happy. christian louboutin and steve madden have made the loafer classic, with a twist of edge! the style is brilliant, and the idea is genius. i love how the light brown camel can look relaxed with a pair of fitted jeans, and a slouchy white blouse, but the black and cheetah can be super punky with lace or a retro dress. the style is so versatile! delia's sells a pretty cheap version, so if you're on a budget check out their website! www.delias.com

boston: street style and sights

street style:

so much style out on the streets of boston today! now i have to admit, i do feel like a bit of a creep taking street style shots, but i couldn't help myself. they're the most fun to blog about because they're not staged! anyway, take a look at boston's fall style! so simplistic in most cases, but so classy and fashionable too :)

beautiful things i've seen today

from georgetown cupcakes, to trinity episcopal church, these places are gorgeous. i had a bit of a fangirl moment as I walked into georgetown cupcakes. DC cupcakes is one of my favorite tlc shows! i had a delicious pumpkin spice cupcake, which was quite possibly one of the yummiest cupcakes I have ever consumed. i walked down the street a bit, taking countless pictures with my film camera, and found the trinity episcopal church. this place is giant! i'm serious, it's the most beautiful, enormous, and breathtaking church ever. and that's just from the outside. once you walk in, it's almost unbelievable. the   frescoes on the ceiling, the stain glass windows, shimmering gold walls, and shining gold cross at the center take your breath away. i sat there in awe for a few minutes before shooting any frames. after exploring trinity, i was off to look in designer shops. yes look, not shop. i have a little more saving up to do before shopping can be possible in these stores ;). i snapped a picture of my favorite designer's store, marc jacobs! i also took a picture of "the school of fashion design." i'm actually not totally sure what this is, i just thought it looked neat! if anyone knows what it is, leave a comment!
