on trend: laid back spring style

I think it's agreeable that after months of layering classy button downs with sweet sweaters and patterned scarves, that most of us are ready for a more relaxed way of style. Not that we don't love out winter boots and cords, but cute shorts and flowy dresses are sounding pretty good right about now! Luckily for most of us, this spring seems to be full of relaxed silhouettes, with flowing lightweight cardigans and maxi dresses to light wash boyfriend jeans and tshirts. I'm in love with this lightweight floral cardigan! It gives off a sort of grunge-y look without being over the top.

I think the low back of this dress makes the delicate rose details more laid back. The gown is beautiful. 

This free people dress looks too adorable paired with cute lace up boots! (hey, not all boots have to be put away all spring!)

More free people love! Tshirts are totally appropriate when styled with a cute skirt and pretty necklace. 

Last, but not least, the boyfriend jean! One of my personal fashion staples, this lightwash jean makes the outfit effortless and stylish all at once. The striped shirt is also a must-have, and paired with the bright yellow, sunshine-y purse, makes the outfit stand out! 

VALENTINO SS13

I just can't seem to get enough of this gorgeous Valentino dress. It's in the middle of their collection, so by the time you see it, you've already understood their theme-cage like prints. The collection is beautiful. Once this dress appears, it seems to be a more ornate version of the bird cage, until-gasp! The birds appear. I didn't quite notice the gorgeous birds embedded in the glamourous white gown at first sight, but once I took them in the design became alive and remarkable. I love the idea of the dress with birds, but the beautiful black cage piece takes my breath away! It's so dramatic and symbolic.. I just can't seem to get enough! What do you think?
